Internet Time

a collaboration of wonderful people

Want to review a chunk of my forthcoming un-book? Tell me what topic you'd like to review in a reply to this discussion. Promise you'll give me your honest feedback within a week, and I'll email you the pages.
The topics are:

Meta: the big picture, metamorphosis of human consciousness.

Learnscaping: platforms in lieu of programs, networks and internet culture, transparency, trust, value-driven and do-it-yourself.

Cognition: natural learning, learning life cycle, memory, group impact, identity, fulfillment, PKM, stories.

Organizations: getting things done in groups, phases of implementation, internal marketing, change process, core vs context, each one/teach one

Business: enterprise 2.0, let it be, loose coupling, community, distributed intelligence, talent, cut slack, KM, scope, group performance support.

Toolbox: web 2.0 suite, virtual life, mobile, games, search, LAMP, SLATES, video.

The offer expires when we've got a couple of reviewers per topic. Volunteering for several topics makes it more likely you'll beat the crowd here.

Jay - all the topics sound delicious. If I have to choose 2, Business and Toolbox please.

Damn, Anol got to Toolbox before me. If I can then I'll do Organisations (and a peek at toolbox too).

Hi Jay,

If you're looking for reviewers, I'd enjoy taking a look at your content within the Business section. I'm addressing these issues currently in other projects - I would enjoy the sneak peak at your research :)

Cheers,
Shawn

hi Jay,

Just got back from a mission (with more then limited internet connectivity). If you are still looking for reviewers, I would love to take a look at Meta and Learnscaping. The toolbox (especially the Mobile and the Web2.0 suite part) also interests me, but maybe there are already too many volunteers.

cheers!

Jay - I'm happy to take a look at whatever is left over.

Jay,
I got access as per your instructions. This is just brilliant. Is there any particular part you want reviewed or looked at? Or were you just looking for overall comments? And if so, do you want them posted here or mailed to you?

Damien, anything you choose is game. I don't want to constrain the feedback. Form, substance, UI, whatever. The more specific, the better. Email me. Ignatia inserted her comments in the document, which I am finding quite useful.

Hey Jay - If you still have any room on the Learnscaping, that's right up my alley (and my current focus)! I'd also love to do Cognition and Meta if they are free. :-)

Hi Jay
Just came across your prospectus on eating your own Dog food. Another great teaser for an interesting project of yours. I herewith purchase a subscription - please let me know how to pay for it.
If you want me to review Cognition (i.e. PKM) I would be glad to do it.

One comment on your comparison on training versus learning: Here in German speaking Europe we use the word training for two things: One is what the trainer does to his or her trainees (to train) but we also use it for what i think you use the word workout for: To train your own body / muscles to become stronger.
So if the brain were a muscle - we could make it stronger by 'training' it. From this point of view your distinction does not fit properly (at least in our part of the world).

However: Following your work has become one of my most valuable 'brainjogging' activities. Thanks for your work, Trainer!
