a collaboration of wonderful people

I am working on a paper/presentation on communities of interest/learning communities.

As we all know, good old google gives so many responses, therefore I felt this could be a good opportunity to put into practice what I am writing about and reach out for some help.

Does anyone have any really good sites or any other pieces of information which would reduce the information overload I am experiencing from google around communities of interest/learning communities.

Hi Ali,

I'm uploading a paper that I wrote last year specifically about Learning Communities and Communities of Practice.

It is part from a Conference Proceedings so please don't distribute it (I'm not sure I can post it in here).

The document is in English but since I'm Portuguese it can have some mistakes.

I think it will help further understanding the difference between learning communities and communities of practice.

While you refer communities of interest I think that their aim is not specifically learning but we can get back to this topic if you want.

There are some interesting links to texts and web resources in the references section so you can get some pointers.

Cheers,
Carlos

Hi Carlos...this is an old post but something I am still really interested in and found your paper really interesting and answered some of my outstanding questions and focused my thoughts, therefore it is really appreciated!
