I was drawn back to Elliott's LearningTown! community by an emailed reply to a comment on a post I made there long ago. LearningTown! has nearly 6,000 members! Wow! (We have 271 citizens.) The numbers are fine with me. I gain from both sites, although they are truly different animals.

Jay... I've been a member of LearningTown since it was started. I agree it has some value AND just like all endeavors, the number of participants is not necessarily an indication of value. We get out of anything whatever we put into it, in other words, it takes energy to participate in a social network. If we don't put in the energy, we get nothing from it. I'm inspired to start my own blog now!
